Show notes

Janine Coombes hosts an episode of The Show (Off0 featuring Gus Bhandal, a social media specialist, marketing strategist, and professional speaker.

Gus shares his background from growing up in Coventry, trying and failing multiple university subjects before finding marketing, working in corporate marketing, running a pub, and then starting a marketing agency in 2017.

He explains his shift from social media management to LinkedIn-focused training, emphasising teaching clients to implement strategy themselves.

The conversation centers on ‘being intentionally you’ online—leaning into values, integrity, personality, and everyday stories to build a memorable personal brand and create consistency between online presence and real life.

Gus discusses helping clients (many of whom are women) overcome fear of visibility and judgment, and the mindset work needed when clients don’t yet fully know or trust themselves, including his 12-week Social Superstar Strategy program.

He introduces his LinkedIn membership, The Squeeze, designed to provide accountability, Q&A, and content strategy to help people consistently post and follow through, and he shares a cautionary story about a tech provider who over-sold unnecessary tools. Gus directs viewers to connect with him on LinkedIn and visit themguru.co.uk.
